1st Place Finish

Cincinnati - 11-6

2024 Power Rank: 5th    2023 DVOA: 11th    2024 Schedule: 6th

The Bengals won 9 games in '23 despite losing QB Burrow for 1/3 of the season. The defense overachieved despite losing their 2 starting safeties. But Bell returns there & they swiped S Stone from the Ravens. At WR they lost WR Boyd but signed Higgins to an efficient offense that will have to transition from losing stalwart RB Mixon. If DC Anarumo continues to shine this team is a top contender. We bet them to meet the Eagles in the Super Bowl 63-1.

2nd Place Finish

Baltimore - 10-7

2024 Power Rank: 6th    2023 DVOA: 1st    2024 Schedule: 29th

Everything fell into place in their 13-4 '23. But we have some hesitation in '24. The Ravens lost 2 key offensive linemen. a pass rusher and star LB Queen in free agency. Receiver quality and depth is still a weakness. QB Jackson thrived in new OC Monken's run-based scheme. We've lowered them some to 6th in our Power Ratings as we think the offensive line could cause regression, plus the 4th toughest schedule.

3rd Place Finish

Cleveland - 10-7

2024 Power Rank: 10th    2023 DVOA: 8th    2024 Schedule: 30th

The Browns pulled off an 11-5 Houdini act in '23 behind DC Schwatz's #2 defensive DVOA. The 28th DVOA offense suffered from Chubb's injury and the use of 4 quarterbacks. Chubb will not play early in '24 but free agent WR Jeudy could elevate the passing game. If QB Watson can play at an average level this team will be very good as their defense joins is top 2 in the league. The schedule is 3rd toughest.

4th Place Finish

Pittsburgh - 8-9

2024 Power Rank: 17th    2023 DVOA: 9th    2024 Schedule: 32nd

A remarkable, unexpected 10-7 playoff season masked a mediocre team with a -20 point differential & 10th easiest schedule. But help is on the way in QB Wilson & 3 high draft pick reinforcements to a weak o-line now ranked 9th by PFF. TE Freiermuth continues to ascend but beyond Pickens the WR corp is weak. Even a top D might not save Coach Tomlin's 16-year winning record streak given the league's 2nd toughest schedule.
